REZ Management currently seeking a skilled commercial construction carpenter to perform rough and finish carpentry in the alteration and construction of buildings, cabinets, and specialty wood items. A candidate will need to consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner, making sure carpentry jobs are completed in due time and ensure work is performed according to REZ Management standards. This is a full-time position to perform work for several different restaurant concepts. This position will consist of local and out of state travel jobs based on our commercial client needs. Must have experience with working alongside of other trades in all areas of construction. Experience in restaurant repairs preferred but not mandatory.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in performing journeyman-level rough and finish carpentry duties
  • Review project plan and blueprints
  • Estimate time, material, equipment, and supplies needed
  • Track production rates of self-perform
  • Maintains records & pictures for job status updates
  • Ensure work areas are properly maintained
  • Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
  • Consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner
  • Ensure carpentry jobs are completed in due time and ensure work in performed according to REZ Management standards
  • Work cohesively with crew members to ensure project completion to satisfy Client needs
  • Maintain crew safety, equipment, and tool training
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Preferred to hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city, or county)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a carpenter
  • Considerable knowledge of rough and finish carpentry; tools, equipment materials and safety practices of carpentry work; building techniques of new and remodel construction
  • Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength, stamina, and be detailed orientated
  • Display basic computer skills
  • Must have personal tools
  • Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
  • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt

  • Support activities at all REZ Management jobsites as directed


Understanding of repair methods

  • Start to Finish Carpentry
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other building materials
  • Metal Studs, Framing
  • Rough Builds
  • Trim Work (molding, installing cabinets, doors, etc.)
  • Drywall
  • Remodel
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • Good communications skills
  • Professional appearance required
